Paul MacInnes of the Guardian, writes that Cocaine is losing its status as the 'cool' drug to take as the lead singer from the seriously uncool band, Keane, has checked into rehab due an addiction.
I've become more and more anti-cocaine as the years have gone by. There is not a single person who becomes a nicer, more interesting person on it than off it and it has caused more medical problems to friends of mine than any other drug ( and this despite it being taken in lower quantities than the other drugs). Ecstasy can increase your confidence, it inspires squishy niceness and empathy. LSD can expand your mind (apparently). Ketamine turns you into a child. Dope makes you eat lots of cookies. Coke turns you into a cunt. Nuff said.

Hey who cares if keane is cool or not - as an old beatles fan their music sounds good good good :). I find them more listenable than coldplay as far as wanting to play the whole cd over and over, as opposed to just hearing a particular song off the cd. Does that even make sense? Oh maybe you know what i'm trying to say :).
Couldn't agree with you more. I'd say the same thing for alcohol as well. Not met a single person who becomes a nicer individual by having a drink.
I agree, but that's hardly the point of taking coke, is it? The point is, you may turn into a bit of a cunt, but you don't care - for about 30 minutes the universe revolves around you. No one could ever claim it makes you a better person, but there's no denying it's fun. In small doses, that is. ;)
have to go with discostu on this one. It doesnt make you better, but you sure feel that way.
I don't reckon anyone ever did a line for someone elses benefit, being a drug user is a selfish passtime generally, but that's human nature.
Anyway I'm much more of a cunt when I don't have any than when I do.
